Ingredients

  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 green peppers, chopped
  • 4 celery stalks, chopped
  • 3 cans tomatoes, drained (14 1/2 oz.)
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 can tomato paste (6 oz.)
  • 1 lb. hot Italian link sausage
  • 2 pork chops, cubed
  • 2 large jars mushrooms

Directions

    Fry in oil onions, green peppers and celery.

    In large pan, add tomatoes, tomato soup and tomato paste.

    Break up the sausage and pork chops, then add to the ingredients.

    Simmer for 3 hours, stirring often.

    Just before serving, add the mushrooms.

    Serve the mushroom stew over sliced Italian bread.
