  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. Grandma's molasses
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine (stick type)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
  • pecan halves for decoration

Directions

    Cream margarine, sugar and molasses.

    Add eggs; mix thoroughly. Next add Karo syrup, nuts and flavoring and pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 325° or 350° (according to the heating of your stove) until a straw or knife blade comes out clean, about one hour.
