  • 20 crackers (Ritz)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder or 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 3 egg whites, beaten stiff
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Crumble crackers fine. Mix first 4 ingredients together.

    Whip egg whites, sugar and vanilla until stiff. Fold crumb mixture into egg whites.

    Pour into buttered pie pan.

    Bake at 325° for 25 minutes.

    Top with Cool Whip, shaved chocolate and chopped pecans or walnuts.
