Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 8 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 tablespoons grapeseed oil, divided
  • Cold water, if needed

Directions

  1. 1
Sift the salt, flour and baking powder into a large bowl.
  2. 2
In another bowl, mix the sugar, milk, eggs and half of the oil together.
  3. 3
Pour the milk mixture into the center of the flour mixture and knead together.
  4. 4
If it's a little dry add a little cold water.
  5. 5
The dough should be soft and pliable.
  6. 6
Add the remaining oil and knead again, then cover for 15 minutes.
  7. 7
After 15 minutes knead the dough once again.
  8. 8
Cover and set aside for 2 to 3 hours.
  9. 9
About half an hour before the naan is needed, preheat the oven to 500 degrees F and put a lightly greased pizza stone into the oven.
  10. 10
Divide the dough into balls and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
  11. 11
Then shape them into flattened ovals and put on top of the baking stone.
  12. 12
Bake the dough until puffed and is cooked through, about 8 to 10 minutes depending on thickness.
  13. 13
Remove from the stone to a serving platter and serve hot.
