  • 1/2 lb. pork sausage or ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
  • 6 c. tortilla chips
  • 1/2 c. sliced pitted ripe olives
  • 1 (4 oz.) can diced green chili peppers, drained
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Cook meat, onion and garlic until meat is brown; drain.

    Stir in beans.

    Arrange half of the chips on each of two 12-inch ovenproof platters.

    Layer half of the meat-bean mixture, olives, chili peppers and cheese on each platter.
