- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 cup Chopped Onion
- 1 cup Chopped Celery
- 1 can (10oz) Consomme Soup Or Beef Broth
- 1 can 28oz Crushed Tomatoes
- 4 cups Water
- 2 whole Carrots, Diced
- 2 whole Potatoes, Diced
- 1/3 cups Barley
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Paprika
- 2 teaspoons Dried Parsley Flakes
Directions

1In a large soup pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, brown ground beef. Drain grease if you want to, then add onions and celery and saute until tender. Add all remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 -2 hours or until barley is tender. Ladle into bowls and serve.
