Nancy Sherman'S Pineapple Punch

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 4 sticks cinnamon
  • 12 cloves
  • 1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice or 1 (12 1/2 oz.) can frozen pineapple concentrate, mixed according to pkg. directions
  • 1 1/2 c. orange juice
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 1 qt. ginger ale

Directions

    Boil sugar, water, cinnamon sticks and cloves together for 30 minutes (gently).

    Strain; chill.

    Add pineapple, orange and lemon juices.

    Just before serving, add ginger ale.

    Serve over ice cubes or frozen pineapple juice cubes.

    (If ginger ale is cold, you can omit the ice cubes.

    You may wish to add an extra quart of ginger ale to dilute sweetness, or omit some of the sugar.)
