  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • dash of salt
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 9-inch pie shell, baked

Directions

    Mix first 6 ingredients and cook over very low heat until thick, stirring constantly.

    Remove and add 1 tablespoon butter or margarine and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla; mix well.

    Pour in baked crust.

    Top with meringue and bake until meringue begins to brown.
