Navy Bean Soup

  • 1 (48 oz.) jar navy beans
  • 1 to 1 1/2 c. small chunked or sliced carrots
  • 1 to 1 1/2 c. small chunked potatoes
  • 1 c. (1 large) onion, cut and sliced
  • ham (picnic or any ham you can cook)

Directions

    Cook ham until tender.

    Take ham out of broth.

    Taste broth for saltiness.

    If salty, take some broth and add water to it.
  5. 5
    Put in broth the beans, carrots, potatoes and onion.

    Cook until tender. Add some of the ham in small chunks to the soup.

    (I have one meal of ham with potatoes and vegetables.
  8. 8
    Put remaining ham in soup.)
