- 1 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. salad oil
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
- 5 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Mix together warm water, yeast and sugar.

2When yeast dissolves, add salad oil, buttermilk and soda and mix well.

3Add self-rising flour.

4Pour in a covered bowl for a few hours or overnight.

5Stir slightly and dip out with a spoon onto a floured board.

6Work with hands to form a biscuit.

7Bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes.

8Remaining dough can be kept covered in refrigerator for a week.
