- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. water
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 egg whites
Directions

1Combine 2 tablespoons sugar, cornstarch and water in small pan.

2Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until soft mounds form.

3Add 6 tablespoons sugar gradually to egg whites, beating well after each addition.

4Add cornstarch mixture gradually. Continue beating until meringue stands in peaks.

5Cover pie with meringue and brown in 375° oven.
