- 3 1/4 c. flour, sifted
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Sift flour, sugar and salt into a large bowl.

2Beat the egg and combine with vinegar and water.

3Cut shortening into flour. Sprinkle with egg mixture and mix all together.

4Gather the dough into a ball.

5Wrap in wax paper and chill for about 30 minutes before using.

6This dough can be kept in the refrigerator up to 1 week or it may be divided into 4 parts, wrapped separately and frozen.

7Makes 4 pie shells or 2 double crusts.
