- 5 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 lb. shortening (2 1/3 c.)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- water
Directions

1Combine flour, shortening and salt, cutting together with a pastry knife.

2In a one-cup measuring cup, add egg, vinegar and enough cold water to make one cup.

3Add to flour mixture.

4Mix thoroughly.

5Roll on heavily floured surface.

6Makes 4 to 6 pie crusts.

7Excellent for pot pies or dessert pies.
