- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1/3 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs (room temperature)
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. each: vanilla and lemon extract
- 1 c. sweet milk
Directions

1Cream together butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Mix together flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

4Add flavorings.

5Spoon batter into a greased 10-inch tube pan.

6Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.

7Reduce heat to 325° and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool; remove from pan.
