Ingredients
- 6 c. flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 yeast cakes
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2/3 or 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. cold water
Directions

1Sift flour after measuring.

2Blend shortening, sugar and salt. Dissolve yeast in cold water.

3Let set 5 minutes.

4Pour boiling water in mixture of sugar and shortening.

5Let cool.

6Beat eggs and add to mixture.

7Add flour last.

8Let stand 4 hours or overnight.

9Roll out and cut.

10Dip in melted butter.

11Let rise 2 hours.

12Cook at 500° for about 10 or 12 minutes.
