Ingredients
- 1/4 lb. bacon, cooked and diced
- 2 medium onions, diced
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3 large potatoes, diced
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. milk
- 3 doz. clams, shucked (reserve liquid)
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Cook bacon until lightly browned.

2Add onions and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

3Chop clams.

4Add enough water to clam liquid to make 2 cups.

5Stir flour into onion mixture until blended.

6Gradually stir in clam mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is slightly thickened.

7Stir in potatoes, salt and pepper.

8Cover and cook until potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.

9Add clams, milk, butter or margarine and cover and cook until heated through for about 5 minutes, stirring often.

10Makes 10 cups or 5 servings.
