  • 6 slices bread, crusts removed and cubed
  • 1 1/2 c. cubed pasteurized process cheese spread
  • 1 1/2 c. cubed sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 6 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 pt. light cream

Directions

    Grease a 2-quart casserole.

    Layer bread, 1/2 of the pasteurized process cheese spread, 1/2 of the Cheddar cheese, mushrooms and remainder of cheese.

    Melt butter.

    Add eggs and light cream.

    Pour over layered ingredients.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350°, uncovered, for 1 hour in a pan of water.
