Nine Bean Soup

Ingredients

• 1 lb. each black beans, kidney, pinto, navy, Great Northern, split peas, black-eyed peas, barley pearls and lentils*
• 2 c. bean mix
• 12 oz. beer
• 1 lb. diced ham
• 1 lb. smoked beef sausage in 1/2-inch slices
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• salt
• 16 oz. canned tomatoes, chopped
• 10 oz. can Ro-Tel tomatoes
• chopped celery
• 2 bay leaves
• Creole seasoning
• 2 jalapeno peppers
