- 4 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. scalded milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Beat eggs just to blend; add sugar.

2Scald milk; add milk, vanilla and salt to egg mixture.

3Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 475° for 5 minutes; reduce heat to 425° for 10 minutes. It will be jiggly in the middle but sets when cool.

4Very good, smooth custard.
