- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Blend cornstarch and water in saucepan; stir until it thickens and is clear.

2Let stand until completely cool.

3Beat egg whites until foamy.

4Gradually add sugar, vanilla, salt and cooled cornstarch mixture.

5Beat until stiff.

6Spread over cooled pie. Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.

7Tops one 9-inch pie pan.
