  • 1 3/4 c. shortening
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. white vinegar

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients together and make a well in the center (including the shortening).

    Mix wet ingredients together (including egg) and beat well.

    Add wet ingredients to well created in dry mixture.

    Mix together well with pastry knife and form into a ball.

    Refrigerate for 15 minutes, then divide into 4 equal sections and roll.

    Makes 4 single crusts.
