- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 4 egg whites
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Mix cornstarch, sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat until thick and clear, stirring constantly (about 1 minute).

2Cool.

3Beat whites until frothy.

4Add a small pinch of salt and continue beating until peaks hold shape.

5Fold the cooled, thickening mixture into the egg whites.

6Spread over a cooled cream pie, sealing to the edges.

7Bake at 450° for 5 to 7 minutes.
