- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 sticks margarine or butter
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. lemon extract (or any flavor you prefer)
Directions

1Cream in mixer, sugar and butter slowly until mixed; beat at high speed 4 to 5 minutes.

2Add eggs and beat well. Add salt, flour and lemon flavoring. Beat until well mixed, beat at high speed for 5 to 10 minutes.

3Place in cold oven.

4Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes or 1 hour and 30 minutes at 325° or until golden brown.
