  • 1 1/4 sticks margarine (3/4 stick if using butter)
  • 1 1/2 c. fruit with juice
  • 1 c. self-rising flour (more if needed)
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. milk

Directions

    Melt margarine in pan. In bowl, combine flour, sugar and about 1/2 of milk to moisten dry ingredients.

    Use remaining milk, beat until smooth. Pour batter into pan.

    Place fruit on top of batter.

    Bake at 350° until golden brown.
