Ingredients
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. milk, scalded
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 egg
Directions

1Add yeast to warm water; let rest for 10 minutes.

2Mix scalded milk, butter, sugar and salt.

3Stir until dissolved.

4Cool to 85°. Beat 1 egg and add to yeast mixture.

5Add to milk mixture.

6Beat in half of flour (sifted).

7Beat 2 minutes.
-
8Add remaining flour and mix the dough until it blisters.

9Place in greased bowl; cover, place in refrigerator.

10To bake, form into two loaves.

11Let rise for 1 hour before baking.
