Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 c. very warm water
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine, melted
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Place yeast in water; stir and set aside.

    Cream margarine with sugar in large bowl.

    Add egg and salt.
  4. 4
    Add yeast/water. Add flour, two cups at a time.

    Stir until well mixed.

    Place in airtight container at least 6 hours or overnight.

    To cook drop by tablespoons into greased muffin tins and bake until light brown. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
