  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. walnuts

Directions

    Cream the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add vanilla and dry ingredients, which have been sifted, alternately with milk, stirring just enough to blend.

    Lastly, add nuts, which have been chopped fine.

    Put into greased pan. Bake at 350° until done. Frost with your favorite frosting.
