- 1 c. canned milk
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
Directions

1Heat until butter melts 1 cup canned milk and butter.

2Set aside.

3Mix in a heavy 2-quart saucepan sugar and corn syrup; cook until it forms a firm ball in cold water.

4Cook over medium heat, stirring often.

5Then add the hot milk mixture so that the sugar mix does not stop boiling.

6Cook and stir until candy reaches a firm ball stage again (in water).

7Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nuts.

8Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan.

9Cut in squares (can be wrapped in wax paper).
