- 1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. water
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cut butter into flour, using pastry cutter or 2 butter knives. Add sugar, water, vanilla and nuts.

2Dough will be somewhat crumbly.

3Push together and chill in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight.

4Preheat oven to 375°.

5Shape dough into crescents with your fingers.

6Bake on greased cookie sheet for 15 to 18 minutes.

7Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool.
