- 1 1/2 c. pecans
- 2 c. walnuts
- 2 egg whites
- 1 c. sugar
- dash of salt
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
Directions

1Place nuts in shallow baking dish.

2Toast in preheated 325° oven for 10 minutes.

3Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.

4Add sugar and salt.

5Continue beating until stiff peaks form.

6Fold in nuts.

7Melt butter in jelly roll pan; spread nut mixture over butter.

8Bake 30 minutes at 325°, stirring every 10 minutes. Makes about 4 cups.
