Nut Macaroons

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. grated or ground pecans or walnuts
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix nuts, salt and sugar; add unbeaten egg white, working it in well; add more nuts if mixture seems thin.

    Roll into tiny balls (size of nickel) and place on a cookie sheet greased with butter.

    Bake at 300°

    for 20 minutes.

    Let cool before removing from cookie sheet.

    Makes 24 to 36 cookies.
