- 6 c. flour
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 large can Carnation milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 small cake yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
Directions

1Mix flour, Crisco, salt and sugar as for pie dough.

2Combine milk, egg yolks and vanilla.

3Add to first mixture.

4Also add yeast that has been dissolved in lukewarm water.

5Work together for a few minutes until dough forms a ball.

6Set aside for 2 1/2 hours to raise.

7Divide into 4 pieces and roll on lightly floured board.

8Spread with nut or apricot filling.

9Bake immediately at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
