- 1 1/2 c. walnut halves
- 1 c. blanched almonds
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3 stiffly beaten egg whites
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. flour
Directions

1Toast walnut halves and almonds with salt in 15 x 10 x 1-inch or 13 x 9-inch pan in 325° oven 10 to 15 minutes until light brown. Remove from pan.

2Melt butter in pan.

3Combine egg whites with sugar, vanilla and flour.

4Fold in toasted nuts.

5Spread in buttered pan.

6Bake 30 to 35 minutes.

7Stir occasionally to break apart until brown.

8After baking, sprinkle with cinnamon.

9Serve as cookie or candy.
