  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. Crisco

Directions

    Mix butter, Crisco, sugar and eggs.

    Stir together flour, baking powder, salt, soda, nutmeg and 1 cup buttermilk with this mixture.

    Add vanilla.

    Bake at 350°.
