- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Directions

1Cream butter in saucepan.

2Gradually add sugar; beat until light and fluffy.

3Blend in egg yolk, flour, vanilla and gradually add boiling water.

4Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

5Stir in nutmeg (sprinkle in nutmeg, it will clump).

6Makes about two cups.
