- 42 Club crackers 2-1/2 inches x 1 inch
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup slivered almonds
Directions

1Place crackers in a single layer in a foil lined 15 in.

2x 10 in.

3x 1 in.

4Baking pan.

5In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

6Add sugar; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

7Boil for 2 minutes.

8Remove from heat; add vanilla.

9Pour evenly over crackers or spoon over crackers then spread with spoon to cover; sprinkle with nuts.

10Bake at 350F for 10 - 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

11Immediately remove from the pan, cutting between crackers if necessary, and cool on wire racks.

12Store in an airtight container.

13Yield: 3 - 1/2 dozen.
