- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. very warm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. warm milk
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 2 tsp. salt
- 5 to 6 c. flour
- 1 c. quick oats
Directions

1Mix the night before.

2Bake early next morning.

3Together in bowl, combine warm water, yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar.

4Let stand about 10 minutes.

5In a large bowl, mix milk, sugar, margarine, molasses, salt and 2 cups flour.

6Mix until smooth.

7Add 1 cup flour and the oats.

8Mix.

9Add flour to make soft dough.

10Knead 10 minutes until smooth.

11Add flour as needed.

12Cover with plastic, then towel.

13Let set 20 minutes.

14Grease 2 (8 x 4 x 3-inch) loaf pans; divide dough.

15Place in pan.

16Brush top with oil.

17Cover loosely with plastic.

18Refrigerate 2 to 24 hours.

19Remove; let stand 10 to 15 minutes before baking.

20Bake at 375° for 30 to 40 minutes.

21Makes 2 loaves.
