- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. oatmeal
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Directions

1Pour boiling water over oatmeal.

2Let stand for 10 minutes. Add oleo and stir to melt.

3Stir in sugar, brown sugar and eggs. Beat to blend.

4Add flour, soda, cocoa, salt and 1/2 of chocolate chips.

5Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

6Sprinkle rest of chips on the top and 2 to 3 tablespoons of sugar.

7Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
