  • 2 c. oatmeal
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 to 2 eggs
  • 10 oz. butter/margarine
  • strawberry preserves
  • chocolate

Directions

    Mix eggs and sugar well.

    Add butter and stir well.

    Mix together flour, oatmeal and baking soda.

    Mix all together and divide in 2 (9-inch) cake tins.

    Bake in a preheated 250° oven for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.

    Put together with strawberry preserves and let stand for a day or two.

    Melt chocolate and spread on top.
