- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. packed dark brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. + 2 Tbsp. dark raisins
- 1/4 c. uncooked, quick cooking oats
- 2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
- dash of salt
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Combine flour, oats, sugar, orange peel, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.

3Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse meal.

4Add buttermilk and raisins and stir to form thick lumpy batter.

5Drop by heaping tablespoonful on nonstick cookie sheet.

6Bake until biscuits are golden brown, 17 to 20 minutes.

7Cool on wire rack.

8Makes 12 biscuits.
