  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
  • 2/3 c. granulated sugar
  • 2/3 c. dark brown syrup
  • 2/3 c. oats (quick or old-fashioned), uncooked
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (9-inch) pie shell
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Directions

    Melt butter in a heavy saucepan.

    Remove from heat and add sugar, corn syrup and oats.

    Blend well.

    Add beaten eggs and vanilla.

    Pour mixture into unbaked pie crust.

    If desired, top with chopped pecans.

    Bake in 325° oven for 45 minutes or until set.
