  • 3 1/2 lb. small okra pods
  • 1 qt. water
  • 3 small hot peppers (if desired)
  • 2 tsp. dill seed
  • 1 pt. distilled white vinegar
  • 1 c. salt
  • 3 garlic cloves

Directions

    Pack okra firmly in hot sterilized jars.

    Put a garlic clove in each jar.

    Pour boiling brine in jars and seal.

    Process in boiling water bath at simmering temperature about 180° to 200° for 10 minutes.

    Let ripen several weeks before opening.
