Old-Fashioned Apple Pie

Ingredients
- 4 to 5 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- pinch of salt
- your favorite 2-crust pie dough
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl; add apples to mix.

2Add lemon juice and mix thoroughly.

3Place pie dough in a 9-inch pan. Add apple mixture.

4Drizzle molasses over top of apples.

5Cut butter into small pieces and place over top.

6Add top crust, making a few slits in top.

7Bake at 425° for 15 to 20 minutes, then cover edge of crust with foil to keep it from burning and continue baking for another 30 to 35 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
