Ingredients
- 6 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk powder
- 1/4 cup baking powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 cups shortening
- 1-1/2 cup Water (or more if needed)
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients together with fork.

2Cut in shortening with pastry blender.

3Stir in about 1 1/2 cups water.

4If dry add 1/4 cup more.

5Turn onto floured surface, knead 8 to 10 times.

6Roll dough 3/4 inch thick.

7Cut with biscuit cutter.

8Do not twist with biscuit cutter, just straight down and up.

9This will make them puff up more.

10Bake at 400 F. for 20-25 minutes.

11Makes 452-inch biscuits.
