Ingredients
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 eggs
- 3 to 3 1/2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 3 to 4 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Dissolve the first 4 ingredients and let cool.

2Put yeast in warm water.

3Then add eggs, shortening mix and yeast when it cools. Beat in flour and oats.

4Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.

5Place in well-greased bowl. Cover; let rise in warm place free of drafts for 1 hour or until double in bulk.

6Punch dough down.

7Let set 10 minutes.
