Old Fashioned Cocoa Cake

- 2/3 c. butter or margarine
- 1 2/3 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2/3 c. cocoa
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Combine butter or margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla.

2Beat on high speed of mixer for 3 minutes.

3Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add alternately with water to creamed mixture.

4Blend just until combined.

5Pour into 2 greased and cocoa dusted 9-inch cake pans.

6Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

7Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans.

8Frost with Cocoa Fudge Frosting.
