  • 1 1/2 c. sweet milk
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 medium-size eggs
  • 1 tsp. lemon or vanilla flavoring
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 unbaked (9-inch) pie shell (deep dish)

Directions

    Beat the whole eggs until thoroughly mixed.

    Then add the milk; gradually fold in the sugar, then add salt and flavoring and continue to mix until sugar is dissolved.

    Pour the egg mixture into the unbaked 9-inch pie shell (deep dish).

    Bake in a 325° oven for 1 hour or until custard is brown.
