  • 14 cup butter
  • 3 12 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 cup cheese
  • 12 cup chopped ham

    Melt butter in a sauce pan, add the flour, salt and milk and cook until thickened.

    Beat whites until stiff.

    Beat yolks in a separate bowl.

    Blend the yolks into the cooled white sauce.

    Fold the yolk mixture into the egg whites.

    Melt the shortening in an electric skillet over low heat around 300.
