Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 c. warm milk
  • 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water; add to remaining ingredients, mixing thoroughly.

    Let rise in mixing bowl until approximately doubled in bulk.

    Place on floured board and knead.

    Make into rolls and bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes, or until done.
