- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 egg
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 c. warm milk
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water; add to remaining ingredients, mixing thoroughly.

2Let rise in mixing bowl until approximately doubled in bulk.

3Place on floured board and knead.

4Make into rolls and bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes, or until done.
