  • 1/4 cups Onion, Diced
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 15 ounces, weight Can Low Sodium Black Beans
  • 1/2 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Lime Juice, Freshly Squeezed

Directions

    Saute diced onions in olive oil over medium heat in a medium sized pot. Cook until translucent and slightly browned.

    Next, dump in the entire can of black beans, liquid and all. Add all of the remaining ingredients and cook on medium for about 15 minutes or until liquid is slightly thickened.

    And that's it! These beans are perfect as a side dish, or just eating on their own!
